U8 District Develoment Program Overview

"Provide the opportunity for players in the Huronia District to advance as far as
they are able in the game of soccer."

We are continuing the success of this program as it was set up last year with some minor modifications. To recap, the six training centres are:

NOTE

Clubs must register participating U8 players with the District in order to participate in the Development Program.

The program will operate under the following parameters:

Open to ALL U8 players that are registered with the Clubs within the Huronia District;
NOTE: this is not an elite program - all 8 yr old players are invited

Participants must remain committed to their house league teams,

Sessions will run until the end of August,

There will be a minimum of one training session in each Area every two weeks,

An opening and a closing festival style tournament will be organized during the summer,

All games will be played 7 v 7 on a 40 x 60 yard pitch,

No standings will be maintained.
